Byrne was leadsinger and guitar player of Talking Heads. He also (co-) wrote
most of the Talking Heads music and lyrics. Since 1981 he has been doing
solo projects, which eventually resulted in the split of Talking Heads in
1991.
Talking
heads better known tunes include "Psycho Killer", "Burning Down the House"
and "Take me to the River".
This song is a collaboration with house group X-Press 2. 'Lazy' is the
first single to get a full release from their debut album 'Muzikizum',
which is due for release in April. Judging by the previous limited vinyl
only releases ('AC/DC', 'Muzikizum', and 'Smoke Machine'), it certainly
will be one of the biggest albums of the year. In a recent interview,
David said about the song "I love the contradiction of a pumpin dance
track that is called 'Lazy'".
